What gets stored in your browser, and how to clear it.

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses very few of them, and none that track you across other websites for advertising.
01What we use
- Essential — a small amount of local storage that remembers you dismissed the cookie notice and keeps the site working correctly. These cannot be turned off without breaking the site.
- Embedded media — when you play a YouTube video on this site, YouTube may set its own cookies to remember playback preferences and measure views. Those are governed by Google's policies, not ours.
- Aggregate traffic counts — basic, non-identifying page-view statistics used to see which pages are useful.
02What we don't use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No cross-site behavioral tracking pixels.
- No selling of any data collected by cookies.
03Controlling cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data in its settings. Blocking them may affect embedded videos. To stop YouTube cookies entirely, simply don't play the embedded videos, or watch on YouTube directly.
