Davon Lee is committed to making this site usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or captions. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508.
01What we've done
- Semantic page structure with a single main heading per page and a logical heading order.
- Keyboard navigation throughout, with visible focus indicators on links, buttons and form fields.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images.
- Color contrast checked against WCAG AA ratios for body and interface text.
- Responsive layouts that reflow for zoom up to 200% and for small screens.
- Form fields with real labels, clear error messages and no reliance on color alone.
- Motion kept subtle and reduced for visitors whose systems request reduced motion.
02Known limitations
- Embedded YouTube players are third-party components; their controls and captions are governed by YouTube. Auto-generated captions may contain errors.
- Some archival photographs carry brief descriptions rather than full scene descriptions.
- Older podcast episodes may not yet have written transcripts. We are adding them over time.
03Need something in another format?
If a page, episode or document isn't accessible to you, we will get you the content another way — a transcript, a plain-text version, or a phone or email conversation. Email contact@davonlee.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line and describe the barrier and the page it's on.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days and to resolve them as quickly as is practical.
04Ongoing work
Accessibility is treated as ongoing maintenance, not a one-time audit. New pages are reviewed for keyboard access, contrast and screen-reader structure before they go live.
